MUFUMBWE TOWN COUNCIL IS LOOKING FOR YOUNG AND ENERGETIC ZAMBIAN MEN AND WOMEN WITH RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS TO FILL THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS UNDER MUFUMBWE ENTERPRISES LIMITED (GUEST HOUSE).
1. RECEPTIONIST (02) – G1
A. JOB PURPOSE: Manages the front desk, acting as the primary point of contact for visitors and callers while performing key administrative tasks to support daily operations.
B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greeting, welcoming and directing visitors to the appropriate person or office
Answering, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls as well as handling correspondence (emails, letters, packages)
Scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, organizing meetings, filing and photocopying
Ensuring the front desk and reception areas are tidy, presentable and well-stocked with necessary supplies
Monitoring visitor’s logbooks, issuing visitor badges, and following safety procedures to ensure office security.
C. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Grade twelve school certificate/form V
Should be aged between 18 to 35 years and must be a holder of a green national registration card.
The ability to communicate in local language and English.
2. COOK (02) – G1
A. JOB PURPOSE: To carry out the preparation of meals in order to meet menu requirements.
B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out timely preparation of utensils and ingredients in order to facilitate meal preparation
Carries out regularly, cleaning of utensils and cooking area in order to maintain high sanitation standards
C. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Grade twelve school certificate/form V
Should be aged between 18 to 35 years and must be a holder of a green national registration card.
The ability to communicate in local language and English.
Certificate in food production
3. WAITER (02) – G2
A. JOB PURPOSE: To carry out the serving of food and beverages in orders to meet client requirement
B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out timely, preparation of provisions and equipment in order to facilitate operations of the restaurant
Carries out timely, serving of food and beverages in order to meet clients needs
Carries out, regularly stock takes in order to ensure accountability
Carries out, the cleaning of the restaurant area in order to maintain high sanitary standards
C. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Grade twelve school certificate/form V
Should be aged between 18 to 35 years and must be a holder of a green national registration card.
The ability to communicate in local language and English.
4. CHIEF (01) – G1
A. JOB PURPOSE: To undertake the provision of culinary services in order to meet client’s food requirements.
B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Undertakes timely, preparation of an elaborate menu in order to provide wide selection for clients
Undertakes timely, the provision of quality meals in order to meet clients needs
Undertakes effectively, the maintenance of kitchen in order to provide a clean and hygienic working environment
Supervises effectively, the utilisation of section
C. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Grade twelve school certificate/form V
Should be aged between 18 to 35 years and must be a holder of a green national registration card.
The ability to communicate in local language and English.
Diploma in Food Production.
5. LAUNDRYMAN (02) – G3
A. JOB PURPOSE: To carry out the cleaning of linen and guest laundry in order to maintain its presentability.
B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out efficiently, the sorting of laundry in order to avoid damaging linen
Carries out timely and effectively, laundering of linen in order to maintain its presentability
Carries out effectively, the cleaning of the laundry area in order to maintain high sanitation standards
C. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Grade twelve school certificate/form V
Should be aged between 18 to 35 years and must be a holder of a green national registration card.
The ability to communicate in local language and English.
6. BARMAN (03) – G2
A. JOB PURPOSE: To carry out the management of the bar area in order to meet client requirement
B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out timely, serving of beverages and snacks in order to meet client requirements
Carries out timely, preparation of glassware, and equipment in order to facilitate the operation of the bar
Carries out timely, receipt and billing in order to ensure accountability and revenue collection
Carries out regularly, stock takes in order to ensure accountability
Carries out timely, cleaning of bar area in order to maintain high sanitation standards
C. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Grade twelve school certificate/form V
7. HOUSE KEEPER (01) – G2
A. JOB PURPOSE: To supervise the provision of housekeeping services in order to maintain high standards of sanitation, safety, comfort and aesthetics.
B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises and undertakes effectively, the maintenance and cleaning of buildings and surroundings in order to create a conducive lodging and working environment
Prepares accurately, room status reports in order to facilitate reconciliation with the room occupancy report
Undertakes regularly, spot checks in order to identify and rectify shortcomings in house keeping
Supervises regularly, laundering of linen in order to maintain high standards of hygiene
Maintains regularly, an up-to-date inventory of assets in the rooms in order to ensure accountability
Maintains timely, a lost and found ledger in order to ensure lost items are returned to rightful owners
C. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Grade twelve school certificate/form V
Should be aged between 18 to 35 years and must be a holder of a green national registration card.
The ability to communicate in local language and English.
Certificate in housekeeping/Certificate in hotel management
8. WATCHMAN (02) – G3
A. JOB PURPOSE: To provide reliable security services in order to ensure prevention of crime and loss of property and life
B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides effectively, reliable security services in order to prevent crime and loss of property and life.
Undertakes regularly patrols of designated areas in order to prevent crime and trespassing
Maintains efficiently an occurrence book in order to facilitate accountability for occurrences
Maintains effectively a register of vehicles and visitors in order to facilitate accountability for property.

Grade twelve school certificate/form V
Should be aged between 18 to 35 years and must be a holder of a green national registration card.
