Position: Adaptation Advisor (ARIP Zambia)
Employer: Ministry of Green Economy and Environment (MGE) & Public Private Dialogue Forum (PPDF), supported by the African Climate Foundation (ACF) Type: 12-month Individual Consultancy (renewable) Location: Lusaka (with national coordination role)
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as Secretary to the ARIP Steering Committee
Coordinate national adaptation investment pipelines across sector ministries
Lead technical design and maintenance of the National Adaptation Investment Pipeline Database
Mobilise climate finance (GCF, AF, GEF, etc.)
Facilitate research, capacity building, and public-private partnerships for climate resilience
Requirements:
Master’s degree in development finance, Environmental Economics, Climate Change, or related field (PhD is an advantage)
Minimum 10 years professional experience, with at least 5 years in senior advisory roles in climate change or environmental finance
Proven track record in climate finance mobilisation, multi-stakeholder coordination, and familiarity with Zambian government processes and UNFCCC frameworks
