Job description
Job Advertisement: Legal Officer
Location: Rockview University,

Rockview University is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide legal guidance, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support the university in legal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Handling Conveyancing Matters
Drafting and reviewing memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
Provide legal advice on university policies, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and agreements.
Represent the university in legal proceedings when necessary.
Ensure compliance with higher education laws and other relevant regulations.
Work closely with internal departments to mitigate legal risks.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) – a required qualification.
Master’s degree in Law (LLM) is an added advantage.
0 to 2 years of post-admission experience as an advocate of the High Court.
Must be a registered member of the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ).
Strong research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
