JOB PURPOSE

The role supports end-to-end corporate advisory transactions through financial analysis, modelling, and preparation of transaction materials, while providing insights that inform strategic decisions and drive business development. It also delivers key accounting and administrative support—such as billing, filing, and reporting—to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.

REPORTING TO THE GROUP CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

KR1 – Creation and Maintenance of Client Relationships

Assess client needs and goals
Attend client and stakeholder meetings 
Prepare and submit progress reports
Prepare presentations and supporting documents for clients

KR2 – Transaction Origination

Source prospective clients and transactions
Conduct sector research on key and emerging opportunities
Prepare mandate documents and ensure client execution
Advise clients on regulatory requirements for transactions
Manage transaction checklists to ensure timely progress

KR3 – Research and Analysis

Prepare and interpret financial summaries and reports
Conduct financial forecasting and strategic reporting
Track operational metrics and KPIs  
Develop and analyse financial models for decision-making support

KR4 – Business Development

 Arrange meetings with prospective clients
Secure new clients and business opportunities for the SBU

KR5 – Financial Reporting

Prepare forecasts, budgets, and ACCPAC data entries
Produce monthly management and performance reports
Prepare year-end financial statements and support audits

KR6 – Invoicing

Conduct billing activities and follow up on outstanding payments

KR7 – Documentation

File and maintain complete, accurate documentation for all transactions

 QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

The suitable candidate for the position will be required to possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

1.   Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related fields including Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or other Natural Sciences, 

2.   CFA qualification (Level I, II or III) is an added advantage

3.   Full CIMA, ACCA or ZICA

4.   Minimum of at least 2 years in a similar role

5.   Stockbrokers/financial advisors training
