Job description

INTRODUCTION

The job incumbent is responsible for overseeing operations, quality assurance, and compliance within the metals and minerals sector. He/she must perform the job within the framework of the BV Quality Assurance System, the Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in metallurgy, mining, geology, or related field
Experience: 5-10+ years in metals/minerals industry
Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (ICADA, ISO auditor, etc.)
Understanding of mining, processing, and quality standards

JOB DESCRIPTION

Leadership & Management

Lead and supervise a team of inspectors, auditors, or technical specialists
Manage resource allocation and team performance
Develop and implement standard operating procedures
Mentor and train junior staff members

Technical Expertise

Conduct inspections and audits of metals and minerals operations
Ensure compliance with international standards and regulations
Evaluate quality of raw materials and finished products
Assess health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance

Quality & Compliance

Maintain certification standards (ISO, industry-specific)
Prepare technical reports and documentation
Ensure adherence to client specifications
Manage non-conformities and corrective actions

Client Relations

Liaise with clients regarding inspection results
Address client concerns and inquiries
Support business development initiatives
Build long-term client relationships.
