Driver

Purpose of the Role

To provide reliable, safe, and courteous transportation services to MTN Zambia staff and visitors, with safety as the top priority at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily vehicle inspections (engine, interior, and exterior) before use.
Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, well-maintained, and in a serviceable condition at all times.
Promptly report any accidents, defects, or mechanical issues relating to the vehicle.
Accurately complete and maintain the motor vehicle logbook for every trip undertaken.
Safely transport staff members to various assignments and official engagements.
Undertake messenger duties and goods collection as required, using company vehicles

Minimum Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 School Certificate.

• Diploma in any related field will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ proven driving experience.

• Valid Driver’s Licence (preferably Class C or higher).

• Defensive Driving certification required.

• Experience operating 4×4 vehicles will be an added advantage.

Training / Certifications

• Craft Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics will be an added advantage.

• Valid First Aid Certificate.

Knowledge

• Good command of written and spoken English.

• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and road safety regulations.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong attention to detail.

• Basic numerical skills (for logbook accuracy and trip records).

• Sound mechanical awareness.
