Job description

Position: Stores Keeper / Stores Manager
Location: Lusaka
Company: Construction Company

We are a growing construction company seeking a competent and experienced Stores Keeper / Stores Manager to manage our stores operations effectively. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in maintenance, mechanical, and electrical work, with solid product knowledge relevant to construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
Manage daily stores operations, including receiving, issuing, and recording materials.
Monitor stock levels and proactively identify out-of-stock items.
Track material consumption trends and advise management on reorder levels.
Ensure stock availability aligns with project demands and timelines.
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts.
Verify quality and specifications of materials, tools, spare parts, and equipment.
Work closely with site supervisors, mechanics, and electricians to ensure proper material usage.
Prevent stock losses through proper control systems and documentation.
Prepare stock reports and provide consumption analysis to management.
Ensure proper storage and organization of materials to prevent damage or loss.

Minimum Requirements
Diploma or Certificate in Stores Management, Supply Chain, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
Proven experience in a construction, maintenance, mechanical, or electrical environment.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, mechanical parts, electrical components, and tools.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and identify correct spare parts.
Good understanding of stock control systems and inventory management.
Strong organizational and reporting skills.
Computer literacy (Excel and stock management systems preferred).
Honest, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
