JOB VACANCY: MINE CAPTAIN

Location: Mine Site

Employment Type: Full-Time

Company Overview

We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Mine Captain. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and productive execution of work.

 

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily mining operations and ensure adherence to mine plans.
Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
Coordinate drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling activities.
Lead, supervise, and discipline mining crews and shift supervisors.
Ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
Conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments.
Report operational issues, incidents, and progress to Mine Management.
Ensure proper use and care of mining equipment.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5–8 years’ mining experience.
Proven experience in underground and/or open-pit mining operations.
Good knowledge of mining regulations and safety standards.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Good communication and reporting abilities.
Sound knowledge of mining methods and equipment.
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
