We are therefore inviting applications to fill the following vacant positions: Process Artisan and Utilities service operator.

JOB TITLE: PROCESS ARTISAN

Department: Engnieering

Location: Lusaka

1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To operate, control, and maintain assigned process equipment and systems to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production in line with quality, safety, and operational standards.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 Process Operations
Operate and monitor process equipment such as brewhouse, fermentation, filtration, blending, or packaging support systems as applicable.
Control process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rates, time) according to standard operating procedures.
Execute start-up, shutdown, and changeover procedures safely and efficiently.
Ensure production targets are achieved with minimal downtime and waste.
2.2 Quality & Food Safety
Adhere to quality, food safety, and hygiene standards (GMP, HACCP).
Conduct in-process quality checks and take corrective action when deviations occur.
Ensure products meet required specifications and standards.
Accurately complete production and quality records.
2.3 Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
Comply with all Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
Identify hazards and report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Use PPE correctly and maintain good housekeeping (5S).
Participate in safety talks, risk assessments, and audits.
2.4 Equipment Care & Maintenance
Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance of process equipment.
Identify equipment faults and escalate to maintenance teams promptly.
Support planned maintenance and breakdown repairs.
Follow lock-out/tag-out and permit-to-work procedures.
2.5 Continuous Improvement
Participate in process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and cost control.
Support waste reduction, yield improvement, and energy efficiency initiatives.
Train and guide junior operators where required.
3. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
Process efficiency and output
Product quality and compliance
Safety performance (zero incidents)
Equipment uptime
Accuracy of production documentation
4. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Grade 12 Certificate (minimum).
Trade Test / Craft Certificate in Brewing, Chemical Processing, Mechanical, or related field.
Diploma in Brewing or Process Technology is an added advantage.
2–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or process environment preferred.
5. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Strong understanding of industrial/process operations
Ability to interpret process parameters and SOPs
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork
High attention to detail and discipline
6. WORKING CONDITIONS
Shift work, including nights and weekends
Factory/plant environment
Exposure to heat, chemicals, pressure systems, and noise
JOB TITLE: SERVICE OPERATOR

Department: Operations / Production

Location: Lusaka

1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To operate, monitor, and maintain production/service equipment efficiently and safely in order to meet production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 Operations
Operate assigned machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Start up, shut down, and adjust equipment as required to maintain smooth operations.
Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities or breakdowns promptly.
Ensure production targets are met within set timelines.
2.2 Quality & Compliance
Adhere to quality standards and specifications during operations.
Conduct routine checks to ensure products/services meet required quality standards.
Record production data, defects, and downtime accurately.
2.3 Safety, Health & Environment
Comply with all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly at all times.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area (5S principles).
Report safety hazards, incidents, or near misses immediately.
2.4 Maintenance Support
Perform basic equipment cleaning, lubrication, and routine inspections.
Assist maintenance teams during breakdowns or planned maintenance.
Ensure tools and equipment are properly handled and stored.
3. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
Equipment uptime and efficiency
Production output vs targets
Quality compliance
Safety compliance (zero incidents)
Accuracy of records and reports
4. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Grade 12 Certificate (minimum).
Technical certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Operations is an added advantage.
1–2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
5. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Basic machine operation skills
Ability to follow instructions and SOPs
Good communication skills
Team player with a strong safety mindset
Willingness to work shifts
6. WORKING CONDITIONS
Shift work, including nights and weekends
Factory/plant environment
Exposure to noise, heat, and machinery
