Job Description The role is responsible for all aspects of Delivery execution to our customers efficiently and cost-effectively, so that service excellence can be ensured. This position reports to the Logistics Manager.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure execution of daily delivery plans.
Maintain daily compliance with Distribution and Warehouse BWPs
Control driver shortages at the depot and in trade
Maintain budget control through correct dispatching and mode mix management
Ensure the implementation of ODIF principles
Optimize daily distribution performance
Ensure the optimization of customer service
Perform administration duties daily and ensure that all aspects are up to date
Perform the SCMAT tasks daily/weekly/monthly in full
Manage the Owner Driver (OD) and (OD) Business Advisor (BA) engagements
Ensure effective Contract management, including Owner-drivers
Attend to Customer and Sales team queries, timeously and efficiently
Ensure that internal query resolution (warehouse, settlement) is expedited
Manage effective teamwork in own area
Maintain our RTMS accreditation 9 Road Transport Management System)
Maintain a safe, healthy, and risk-free working environment
Monitor Safety policies, procedures, and company standards
Reporting on incidents and accidents completed against set standards
Ensure goals, SLA’s, and work routines are clear
Manage effective teamwork in own area
Effectively manage individual performance and development in line with the PERFORM way
Manage the processes of monitoring and coaching of Owner-Drivers
Support and encourage the principles of ownership and responsibility within the team
Lead change by involving and engaging with the team and all relevant stakeholders
Ensure daily controls are followed, drivers comply with CCBZ policies, and driver files are current
Implement the Driver Satisfaction Survey and generate regular reports for regions and districts
Stay updated on and apply business best practices across regions and districts

Skills, Experience & Education
Grade 12, O level with 5 credits or better
Minimum BCom Degree or Diploma in Logistics or Transport
2 years’ work experience in logistics in an FMCG environment
Additional experience in Logistics, Distribution, Planning, and warehouse
Good understanding and knowledge of the Road Transport and related legislation and NOSA
Execute daily delivery plans, ensure compliance with Distribution and Warehouse BWPs, and optimize distribution performance
Manage engagements with Owner Drivers and Business Advisors, address customer and sales team queries, and ensure internal query resolution
Fully paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Transport and Logistics
