The Key Purpose of this role is to carry out sampling, sample preparation and analysis of raw materials, in process samples of brewing product from Brew
house, Yeast & Fermentation and Bright beer. Further also conduct sampling and analysis on water samples and effluent samples in technical services department.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Sampling is carried out as per manualised methods
Relevant apparatus, equipment and reagents are prepared as per manualised method
Analysis is performed using fundamental laboratory techniques and practices
Accurate results generated, recorded and reported on time
Non conformance identified
Out of control procedure adhered to
Carry out lab equipment maintained and calibration as per manualized methods
Comply to company safety policy and procedure( Hazardous substance, PPE, MSDS, Safety incidents, lab safety rules)
Hazardous substances are stored, handled and disposed of as per procedure
Adhere to 5S and Housekeeping schedules & adhere to all VPO requirements
Conduct required and requested quality audits, completing the appropriate documentation and communicating the results
Coach, check, mentor and assist shift based production teams on problem solving and correct use of problem solving techniques
Take part in regional and divisional process optimization initiatives as required
Incidents are reported and actioned as per procedure
Support the shift based production teams by assisting in training needs analysis.
Coach, mentor and assist shift based production teams quality analyses and correct use of analytical techniques.
Unsafe conditions and work practices are identified and actioned
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Min – Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Science Laboratory Technology, Public Health, Food and nutrition or equivalent
Training:
Min – 3-6 months on the job training
Ideal – 6-9 months on the job training
Experience:
2-3 Years in Laboratory, Brewing or Packaging operation
Implement/ Support Quality strategy as per VPO
Achieve VPO targets and Quality KPI and PI targets for the site
