JOB VACANCY: JUNIOR IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
Location: Kafue, Zambia
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Systems Administrator to support our IT infrastructure and provide technical support to users. This role is ideal for a candidate eager to grow their career in systems and network administration.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining servers and IT systems
Provide user support for desktops, laptops, printers, and applications
Support network infrastructure (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN) and basic firewall tasks
Perform system monitoring, backups, updates, and patching
Create and manage user accounts and access rights
Document IT assets, incidents, and procedures
Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff
Minimum Requirements
Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
Basic knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux
Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Willingness to learn and work under supervision
Added Advantage
IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Linux)
Exposure to virtualization or cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
