Job description

PORTFOLIO OFFICER – SERVICES

 

JOB PURPOSE
Zambia job market

This position provides support in managing portfolio subsidiary companies, conducting financial analysis, and facilitating communication with Supervisor to ensure the successful execution of initiatives within the portfolio.

 

KEY RESULT AREAS AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
 KEY RESULT AREAS PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (MAIN DUTIES)
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
Monitor subsidiary company performance against targets and KPIs in collaboration with Supervisor.
Monitor subsidiary progress and provide regular updates to Supervisor.
Assist in evaluating subsidiary company performance and developing proposals in collaboration with Supervisor.
Prepare performance reports and updates.

 

Risk Assessment
Help identify potential risks associated with the subsidiaries and develop basic strategies to mitigate them.
Support the preparation of risk assessment reports and contingency plans.

Compliance Support
Help prepare for and assist with internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Administrative Support

 

Provide administrative support to the Portfolio team, including documentation and record-keeping.
Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and presentations related to portfolio management.
Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks and responsibilities.

Any other Duties Perform any other job-related duties as assigned

 

ESSENTIAL/DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Professional Qualification:
Grade 12 School Certificate
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Economics, and/or equivalent Professional Qualification in relevant field from reputable institution.
Relevant Professional Membership
Minimum Relevant Work Experience:
2 years relevant work experience or similar position.
Skill Specifications:
Excellent Supervisory skills
Excellent problem solving and presentation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders
Data management and record keeping.
Proficient in using computers
