The Opportunity
Educore Services seeks to employ a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic ICT Support Assistant to be based in Solwezi. The suitable candidate will report to the Network and Systems Administrator and directly contribute to all ICT support within the organisation.
Commencement Date: 1st March 2026 or sooner
Main Purpose of the Job
Assisting in the support, repair and setup of all ICT hardware and software as coordinated by the network and systems administrator for staff and students.
Deployment and allocation of end user devices to students and staff as stipulated ESZ device policy.School management software
Assist with ensuring network and device security through proactive installation of anti-virus software.
Assisting with implementing and user data back up procedures as instructed by the network and systems administrator.
Monitor, repair and deploy network infrastructure and appliances such as access points.
Qualifications
Minimum of Diploma in Information Systems or Computer Science
Bachelor’s degree in computer science will be an added advantage
1–2 years in Database Administration, Systems Design or Management Information SystemsSchool supplies
Experience with SQL databases would be an advantage
Experience and Personal Qualities
Self-motivated, innovative, trustworthy, reliable, flexible to work well in a team environment.
Good communication skills – respectful communication with staff, students, parents and business partners.
Effective problem-solving skills – quick resolution of Information System (IS) issues.
Attention to detail, with accuracy of work
