ASSISTANT HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC VACANCY (x 4) and BOILER MAKER (x1)

Delta Auto and Equipment Ltd is seeking the services of proactive and reliable Assistant Heavy Equipment Repair Mechanics (x4) and a Boiler Maker to join our team in Chambishi.

(1) Assistant Heavy Equipment Repair Mechanics

Key Responsibilities:

·       Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty or damaged parts on heavy-duty machines/equipment.

·       Perform routine servicing, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment/vehicles.

·       Assess vehicles and machinery to accurately identify faults and ensure effective repairs.

·       Monitor vehicle performance after servicing or repairs.

·       Consult and collaborate with other mechanics on minor repair tasks.

·       Report damaged or faulty equipment to the Supervisor or Management.

·       Maintain accurate job cards and service records.

·       Ensure workshop tools and equipment are cleaned, maintained, and kept in a safe, usable condition.

·       Enforce compliance with Quality, Health & Safety standards among subordinates.

·       Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.

Demonstrate strong technical competence and effective written and oral communication skills

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

Grade 12 certificate
Craft Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repairer
A Member of EIZ

(2) Boiler Maker

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures, frames, and components.
Conduct quality checks to ensure welds meet required specifications and safety standards.
Operate and maintain welding machines, grinders, cutting torches, and related tools.
Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and occupational health standards.
Work effectively within a team to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

Grade 12 certificate
Craft Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repairer
