The Learning Ladder Academy & Montessori school in Lusaka is offering the Oxford International Primary & Montessori Curriculum, invites applications from qualified, dedicated, and innovative educators to fill the following positions: Primary Teacher, Early Childhood Teacher and Shadow Teacher. 1. PRIMARY TEACHER
Key Responsibilities
 Deliver engaging and effective lessons.
 Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments in line with Oxford standards.
Create a positive, inclusive, and learner-centred classroom environment.
Support learners’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding learners’ progress.
Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
Uphold school policies, safeguarding standards, and professional ethics
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
 Diploma or Degree in Primary Education or a related field.
 Certification or training in the Oxford Curriculum / International Primary Curriculum is an added advantage.
 Valid Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) registration.
 Minimum of 2–3 years’ teaching experience in an international or Cambridge/Oxford curriculum setting.
Strong classroom management and assessment skills.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

2. EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER
Key Responsibilities
 Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons .
Prepare and maintain a well-organised, stimulating learning environment.
 Support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
 Observe, assess, and document learners’ progress.
Encourage independence, confidence, and self-directed learning.
 Develop and maintain learner portfolios and classroom records.
 Communicate effectively with parents and guardians on learners’ development.
Uphold child safeguarding, health, and safety standards.
Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and school management
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
 Montessori experience is a strong advantage.
 Valid Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) registration.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching in early childhood setting.
 Strong understanding of child development and child-centred learning.
 Excellent communication and classroom management skills

3. SHADOW TEACHER
Key Responsibilities
 Provide one-on-one or small group support for learners.
Assist learners in accessing the curriculum and achieving learning goals.
 Implement strategies from Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with classroom teachers.
 Support learners with social, emotional, behavioral, and academic development.
Observe, assess, and document learner progress and share reports with teachers and parents.
 Facilitate inclusion and integration of learners within mainstream classrooms.
 Work closely with teachers and school management to tailor learning approaches.
 Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding standards
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or Special Education
 Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting learners.
 Training or experience in working with learners with Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, or other learning difficulties is an advantage.
 Strong understanding of child development and differentiated instruction.
 Excellent communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
 Patient, empathetic, and child-centred approach
