Role Overview
The Guest Relations Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding guest experiences at The David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa. This role is guest-facing, dynamic, and service-driven, focusing on personalized hospitality, service recovery, and brand representation in a luxury safari lodge environment.
The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for guests, host site inspections and FAM trips, and create engaging guest-experience content in support of the lodge’s marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver warm, professional, and personalized service to all guests, with special attention to VIPs and repeat guests.
Engage with guests throughout their stay to anticipate needs and exceed expectations.
Handle guest complaints and service recovery promptly and professionally.
Host and coordinate site inspections for tour operators, travel agents, and partners.
Plan and host Familiarisation (FAM) trips in line with sales and marketing objectives.
Capture and create social media content showcasing guest experiences (with guest consent).
Work closely with all departments to ensure seamless guest service delivery.
Collect and respond to guest feedback and online reviews.
Promote lodge facilities, activities, and services to enhance the guest experience.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Marketing or a related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in guest relations, front office, or a similar hospitality role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Confident, well-presented, and guest-focused.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel systems.
