If you are a self-starter and looking for a challenging, yet exciting opportunity to grow and develop, submit your application for the position of Credit Operations Manager.

Reporting into the Head Consumer Lending, the job holder will oversee the credit lifecycle from loan approval and disbursement to collections, ensuring efficient operational processes and a healthy loan portfolio.

Roles and Responsibilities

Managing disbursement processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Implementing portfolio monitoring frameworks to track asset quality, NPLs, and provisioning requirements.
Collaborating with Credit team to develop and enforce credit policies, procedures, and controls.
Managing operational efficiency through process improvements and technology optimization.
Collaborating with Sales teams to balance growth targets with credit quality.
Working closely with the Sales to ensure optimum efficiency and satisfactory turnaround times.
Cost Control across Credit Operations.
Coordinating with other company functions in achieving the Bank’s overall strategy.
Providing accurate and regular reports to Head of Consumer Lending and the Group Head of Consumer Lending regarding operational efficiency, customer turnaround time and query resolution.
Managing credit life insurance with the respective stakeholders operations.
Managing client and stakeholder relations in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
Monitoring customer query resolution and support.
Provide leadership and support to the team to ensure that the Bank maximizes the full potential of staff.
Undertake a process of constant training of Loan officers, team leaders, DSA’s and other staff based on credit monitoring insight and market trends.
Create an environment that fosters growth to maximize staff responsibility, participation and contribution to the Banks overall objectives.
Conduct periodical check-ins and performance management reviews.
Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant regulation (e.g., BFSA, CCPC, Cybersecurity, Data Protection).
Conduct regular audits of processes to mitigate risks associated with fraud or operational failures.
Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the Consumer Lending landscape.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business management or economics
Full and extensive knowledge of credit policy implementation and portfolio management
5-7 years minimum in a similar role – payroll lending within the banking or microfinance sector with a proven track record ofachievement and high performance
In-depth knowledge of competitor solutions
Fully aware of industry trends
