Role DescriptionTechnical
Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and qualified individual to fill the position of a Technical Manager. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mufulira. The Technical Manager aspect of the role includes responsibilities such as managing technical operations, providing technical support, and overseeing projects to ensure smooth broadcasting operations.
Qualifications
Strong Team Management and Project Management skills to effectively lead and oversee technical and production teams.
Technical Support expertise with proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining broadcasting equipment.
Proven strong Analytical Skills with a focus on problem-solving and attention to detail.
Experience in Research and Development (R&D) to create insightful content and deliver innovative broadcasting solutions.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a passion for delivering credible and engaging current affairs content.
Familiarity with broadcasting platforms and equipment, as well as media production processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications or related field.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and interact effectively with a diverse audience and team.
On Air Presenter (Current Affairs)
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mufulira for an On Air Presenter specializing in Current Affairs. The On Air Presenter will host and moderate on-air programs, conduct interviews, present current affairs, and keep listeners and viewers informed on a wide range of topics. Responsibilities include researching, preparing scripts, gathering insights, and ensuring delivery of engaging, professional content to a broad audience. Collaboration with the production team to align content with live broadcasts and organizational standards is essential. And Maintain Professional on air presence and uphold Mafken FM and TV’s Editorial standards.
Qualifications
A Collage graduate from any field of study (Journalism is an added advantage)
Strong Interest and Understanding of current affairs and Social issues
Excellent Communication and Interviewing skills
Ability to think critically and present balanced, well research perspctives
Comfortable Speaking on Camera or radio with confidence and authenticity
Prior experience in live broadcasting or journalism is also a plus.
