The New Apostolic Church Relief Organisation (NACRO)
The New Apostolic Church Relief Organisation (NACRO) is a development and humanitarian non-governmental organisation (NGO) associated with the New Apostolic Church in Zambia, Malawi, and Zimbabwe, serving as the development and humanitarian arm of the Church.
NACRO’s mission is:
“To provide high quality demand driven services that impact positively on the lives of the vulnerable communities and provides capacity building that results in stronger resilience and improved livelihoods.”

NACRO now invites suitably qualified and experienced persons to apply for the following vacancies.
JOB TITLE: LIVELIHOODS OFFICER (Location: Choma)
Duration of role: 1 year
JOB PURPOSE:
The Livelihoods Officer will report to the Country Programme Coordinator and will be responsible for field level planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities intended to support farmers and targeted communities to adopt farming practices that improve and sustain their productivity and help them withstand and recover from climate related shocks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Implementation
Support the execution of livelihood and climate-smart agriculture activities.
Monitoring and Evaluation, Reporting, and Learning
Undertake periodic on-site monitoring of the project.
Capacity Building and Stakeholder Engagement
Foster collaboration with stakeholders and lead training to ensure project alignment and success and adoption of sustainable agriculture.
Communication, Partnerships, and Knowledge Management
Lead implementation of an organisational communication strategy and deploy it to convey the organization’s messages, values, and priorities and elicit behavioural change.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Grade Twelve (12) Certificate.
A degree in Development Studies; Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations; Marketing; Agriculture or Agribusiness; Social Sciences; or Business Administration; or other related fields.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in project management, community development, and livelihoods are essential.
Experience with donor-funded projects and community engagement.
Knowledge or experience in areas such as climate adaptation, environment, resilience, gender mainstreaming, and private sector development can be beneficial and will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in communications or knowledge management is preferred.
Communication, both written and verbal, is crucial for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
Experience with monitoring and evaluation tools and techniques is also important.
