Job Purpose:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role demands precision, confidentiality, and a proactive approach to financial management in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Handle accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and payroll processing.
Monitor budgets, cash flow, and expenditure to support effective financial planning.
Ensure compliance with Zambian tax laws, statutory returns, and regulatory requirements.
Support audits and liaise with external auditors and financial institutions.
Provide timely financial insights to management to inform decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Degree preferred).
Membership with ZICA (at least Technician or Licentiate level) will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Experience in the hospitality, restaurant, or food service industry will be an added advantage.
