Job description
Tera Fleet Management Limited is currently seeking to employ a Diesel Trade Manager to join our growing team.
POSITION: Diesel Trade Manager (X1)
LOCATION: Ndola
DEPARTMENT: Fuel Tanker Fleet
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall advancement of diesel trading operations within Zambia;
Responsible for business negotiations and cooperation management with major oil suppliers and distributors;
Establish and maintain good relationships with the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) and relevant government agencies to ensure legal and compliant operations;
Coordinate logistics and customs clearance processes between procurement in Tanzania and sales in Zambia;
Participate in the company’s oil pricing strategy, contract review, and risk management;
Assist the company in establishing a local team and operational systems;
Regularly report on market dynamics, policy changes, and competitor information.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Experience in mid-to-senior level management or sales positions at major Zambian oil companies (such as Puma Energy, Total Energies, Mount Meru, Lake Oil, Dalbit, etc.);
At least 5 years of experience in oil trading or the energy sector, familiar with the entire process of diesel procurement, transportation, customs clearance, storage, and sales;
Good communication channels and experience with government departments such as the ERB, ZRA, RTSA, and the Energy Ministry;
Excellent business negotiation and market development skills;
A meticulous work style with strong execution and a high sense of responsibility
Preference will be given to candidates with practical experience in diesel import/export projects.
Candidates residing on the Copperbelt are highly preferred.
