JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1.   Prepare and deliver high standard theoretical and practical learning.

2.   Maintaining a teaching file.

3.   Assess students by administering assignments, tests and practical.

4.   Maintain students’ performance records.

5.   Maintain order and discipline among students.

6.   Participate in designing, marketing and implementation of viable programmes and projects.

7.   Coordinate with other staff in ensuring institute objectives are achieved.

8.   Any other duties assigned by the supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered for the position listed above, one must have the following qualifications from recognized Institutions;

1.      Full Grade twelve (12) or equivalent Certificate with credits or better in five subjects including Mathematics and English

2.      Minimum of qualifications;

a)   Lecturer in Fashion Design and Textile Technology – Diploma in Fashion Design and Textile Technology.

3.      Diploma/Certificate in Teaching methodology is desirable for those holding non-  teaching qualifications.

4.      TEVETA accredited trainer as an added advantage.

5.      One (1) year teaching/practical experience preferably in a TEVET Institution.

a)   Ability to communicate in English (in writing and verbally)

b)   Good facilitation and interpersonal skills.

f)    Resourcefulness

g)   Tact and Diplomacy and
