About Us

Rafco Limited is a leading retail and consumer goods company committed to delivering quality products to customers. We are expanding our field operations and are seeking a dynamic Merchandiser to join our team and ensure excellent in-store execution.

Job Purpose / Summary

The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that our products are displayed, stocked, and merchandised properly across retail outlets in their assigned territory. The role involves coordinating with store managers, monitoring inventory, executing promotional displays, and optimizing product visibility to increase sales.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

l Visit assigned retail outlets regularly to check stock levels, replenish as needed, and maintain shelf presentation

l Set up point-of-sale (POS) displays, end caps, promotional displays, and ensure compliance with visual merchandising standards

l Rotate stock, remove expired or damaged goods, and ensure first-in-first-out (FIFO) practices

l Monitor competitor products, layouts, pricing, and promotions; report observations and opportunities

l Liaise with store managers / supervisors to negotiate display space, product placement, and promotional support

l Submit daily/weekly reports including sales data, stock status, display execution, and issues encountered

l Assist in implementing new campaigns, promotions, and product launches

l Ensure compliance with merchandising guidelines and safety standards

l Work with supply / logistics to coordinate product delivery, returns, and transfers as needed

l May be required to travel within and outside the territory

Qualifications & Requirements

l Secondary school certificate (or equivalent). A diploma or degree in Marketing, Business, or related field is a plus

l Previous experience (1–2 years) in retail, merchandising, or sales preferred and well connected to chain stores

l Good knowledge of merchandising principles, planograms, display techniques

l Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently

l Strong interpersonal & negotiation skills

l Ability to analyze sales, trends, and make recommendations

l Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

l Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, reporting tools)

l Ability to lift/move stock (moderate physical work)
