Transport Officer

Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation of goods, materials, and personnel. This role involves ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, as well as maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate transportation activities, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including logs, reports, and documentation.
Manage relationships with transport providers, drivers, and other stakeholders.
Monitor and report on transportation performance, including delays, incidents, and costs.
Assist in resolving transportation-related issues and disputes.

Requirements:

A diploma or degree is an added advantage in Logistics, Transportation, or related fields.
Experience in transportation coordination or related role.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems.
Knowledge of motor vehicle repairs
