Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Branch Manager to lead the operations of a high-volume retail supermarket. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store performance, including sales, staff management, inventory control, customer service, and compliance. This role demands strong leadership, commercial acumen, and a hands-on approach to retail excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily store operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction
Manage and motivate a diverse team of supervisors, cashiers, merchandisers, and support staff
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet revenue and margin targets
Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and shrinkage control
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements
Handle customer queries and complaints with professionalism and urgency
Coordinate with head office on promotions, pricing, and supply chain logistics
Prepare and submit operational reports, including sales, expenses, and staff performance
Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, store presentation, and team productivity

Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
Proven ability to lead teams and manage high-pressure environments
Strong understanding of retail KPIs, merchandising principles, and inventory systems
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems
Fluency in English; local language skills are an added advantage
