Maamba Energy Limited (MEL) is jointly owned by Nava Global Pte. Limited and ZCCM-IH plc. The Company owns and operates a large scale coal mine and has also constructed and operates a 300 Mega Watt Coal fired Power Plant to cater for the growing demand for power in Zambia.

Maamba Energy Limited is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic professional who wants to build a career at its Training Institute located in Maamba, Sinazongwe District, Southern Province, as a Mechanical Fitting Lecturer.

The successful candidate will be part of the MEL Training Centre. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of mechanical engineering by teaching and mentoring the next generation of skilled professionals.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging theoretical and practical lessons in mechanical fitting in line with the vocational training curriculum/Industry standards.
Good communication, mentoring, and classroom management skills.
Strong knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, and safety standards.
Commitment to occupational health and safety practices in the workshop environment.

Qualifications & Experience

Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Fitting from a recognized institution.
Certificate/Diploma in Teaching Methodology
TEVETA accreditation as a vocational training instructor.
Minimum of five (5) years Proven experience in teaching, training, or supervising Mechanical Fitting works.
Good communication, mentoring, and classroom management skills.
Must be computer literate.
Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
