As part of our strategic expansion, we are opening a new branch in Kitwe and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Branch Manager to lead this exciting new venture.

Role Overview
The Branch Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing the Kitwe branch, driving business growth, ensuring excellent client service, and leading a high-performing team. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, solid knowledge of microfinance/SME lending, and the ability to deliver results in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Kitwe branch.
Drive loan portfolio growth with a focus on secured lending including SME and personal loans.
Ensure strong credit risk management and portfolio quality.
Deliver exceptional client service and uphold Dorset’s brand values.
Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing branch team.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies.
Develop and nurture relationships with SMEs, clients, and community stakeholders.
Provide regular branch performance reports to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail or SME banking, microfinance, or lending, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record in loan portfolio growth and credit management.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Knowledge of the Copperbelt market (particularly Kitwe) is an added advantage.
