Job description

A medium size copper mining and processing company on the Copperbelt Province is seeking services of an Industrial Relations Officer on fixed term contract basis.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1.      Provide advice and guidance on individual employee relations cases, ensure that these are well managed and meet the requirement of the company’s policies, best practice and employment legislation.

2.      Ensure that all employees are aware of the company’s industrial relations and disciplinary policies and procedures.

3.      Regularly monitor and review the employee compliance to the company’s industrial relations and disciplinary policies and procedures.

4.      Monitor sickness and absence levels and provide monthly management reports.

5.      Investigate alleged breaches to the company’s industrial relations and disciplinary policies and procedures and initiate redress processes in cases where breaches have occurred.

6.      Induct new employees and employees returning from long absence of duty on the company’s industrial relations and disciplinary policies and procedures.

7.      Perform other duties in the Human Resources Department as assigned by superiors.

5.      Adequate knowledge of the Employment Code and other Labour related applicable statutes

 

requirements

1.      Relevant Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management

2.      Maximum age limit is 35 years

3.      Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the Mining or other fast moving Industries

4.      Should be an active member of the ZIHRM
