Job description
Fire Alarm & Fire Extinguisher Technicians (Part-Time)
Procure Base Innovations, a registered Zambian company based in Lusaka, commands a strong presence in the fire installation, servicing, and suppression industry. We provide high-quality safety solutions, including new installations, servicing, and maintenance of fire systems and equipment for both the mining and private sectors.
To strengthen our technical team, we are inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Part-Time Fire Alarm & Fire Extinguisher Technician.
Key Responsibilities
Install and program fire alarm control panels and associated equipment according to building plans and electrical layouts.
Mount and connect sensors at designated locations, including drilling, cabling, and routing wires safely.
Install wiring and system components in compliance with safety standards and customer requirements.
Demonstrate system operation to clients, address questions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Inspect and test fire alarm systems to confirm proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
Interpret manuals, building plans, and work orders to determine optimal system layout.
Diagnose and repair faults in fire alarm systems and wiring, including replacement of defective components.
Service, maintain, and refill fire extinguishers to ensure they remain fully operational.
Conduct statutory inspections and servicing of fire extinguishers, including pressure testing, refilling, and parts replacement.
Prepare and submit detailed reports for all installations, maintenance, and service activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Grade 12 Certificate.
Electrical Craft Certificate.
Fire extinguisher servicing certification (an added advantage).
Computer literacy.
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fire alarm and fire extinguisher servicing/maintenance.
