POSITION SUMMARY
Ensuring the provision of quality patient care through facilitation, supervision and supporting the spiritual ministry of the hospital
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver and uphold high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical teams.
Support quality assurance initiatives and maintain clinical standards across nursing services.
Participate in patient reviews with doctors and ensure timely execution of medical orders.
Foster effective communication with doctors, surgeons, and multidisciplinary staff
Contribute to departmental goal-setting and ensure team alignment with standard
Maintain accurate patient records and uphold inventory control of medical supplies and equipment.
Promote infection prevention through rigorous hygiene practices.

EDUCATION
Grade 12 certificate and Diploma in Nursing (Degree is an added advantage)

ENT, Orthopedic and Plastic skills preferred
Proven ability to deliver high-quality patient care
Strong knowledge of patient management principles and techniques
Excellent communication, leadership, and planning skills
KEY COMPETENCIES:

Job Title: Critical Care Nurse (1), Location: Lusaka
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Critical Care Nurse to lead and deliver high-quality, individualized patient care in our High Dependency Unit (HDU). The role involves close collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to promote patient recovery through safe, cost-effective physical, psychological, and spiritual support.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure continuity of care through effective handovers and accurate documentation.
Conduct patient assessments and deliver individualized care in line with facility protocols.
Educate patients and families on medical conditions and treatment plans.
Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order.
Uphold confidentiality and provide care that respects patient dignity, diversity, and autonomy.
Foster warm, cooperative relationships with patients, guardians, and colleagues.
Support spiritual care and participate in daily staff devotions.
Engagage in continuous professional development and knowledge-sharing.
Promote quality assurance and contribute to departmental goal-setting and standards.
Ensure infection control through proper decontamination, disinfection, and hygiene standards.
Communicate effectively with medical teams and coordinate patient transfers to ICU when necessary.
Collect blood samples and prepare patients for surgery with complete documentation.
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans using the nursing process.
Administer medications and control drug use in compliance with HPCZ and ZAMRA regulations.
Operate and maintain critical care equipment in collaboration with the biomedical team.
Monitor patient condition through regular assessments and vital sign tracking, responding to emergencies with CPR and other life-saving interventions.
Deliver complex treatments including IV therapy, ventilator management, and wound care.
Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system and ensure timely reporting for decision-making.
Supervise nursing care procedures and support performance management through work plan development
Participate in doctors’ reviews and ensure medical orders are executed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Grade 12 certificate and Diploma in Critical Care Nursing (Degree is an added advantage)
1–3 years of clinical experience with a valid practicing certificate
Strong knowledge of patient management principles and ability to deliver high-quality care.
Excellent communication, leadership, and planning skills
Organizational and administrative strength, with the ability to teach clinical techniques
Fluent in English and at least two local languages; able to multitask and work collaboratively.

Job Titles: Clinical or Nurse Anaesthetist
POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible for administering anaesthesia, monitoring patient responses, and ensuring safe, effective pain management throughout surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer anesthesia using intravenous, spinal, caudal, or local techniques.
Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and comfort
Provide airway management and life support during emergencies.
Assist in clerking, diagnosing, and treating patients under consultant supervision.
Participate in ward rounds, case planning, and surgical procedures
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Operate theatre equipment and respond to emergency protocols.
Uphold patient confidentiality and rights at all times
Administrative Duties
Manage documentation and medico-legal correspondence.
Adhere to hospital policies and HPCZ ethical guidelines.
Participate in audits, clinical meetings, and continuous professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Full Grade 12 Certificate
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and/or Advanced Diploma in Clinical Anesthesia.
Degree will be added advantage
Minimum 3 years’ experience in anesthesia practice
Full HPCZ registration
Proficient in intubation and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia
Strong communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills

Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
Maintain and update coworker records (digital and physical)
