Job description

About the Human Rights Commission

The Human Rights Commission (“the Commission”) is a National Human Rights Institution established under Article 230 of the 1991 Constitution of Zambia. The Commission has the constitutional mandate to uphold and protect the Bill of Rights.

The Commission is seeking applications from suitably qualified external candidates for the position of Office Assistant.

Lusaka X2 Chinsali X1

The Main Purpose of the Role

To undertake cleaning of offices, common areas and utensils in order to provide a conducive working environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will report to the Administration Officer and will be responsible for:

Regular cleaning of the offices to make them habitable;
Effective cleaning of eating and drinking utensils to make them hygienic;
Effective cleaning of toilets and common areas to maintain a conducive work environment; and
Undertaking official errands to ensure smooth Commission operations.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Must have a Grade twelve (12) General Certificate of Education; and
Must have two years of experience in a similar role.
