Job description

Canoe Solar, a growing force in renewable energy innovation and solar technology, is looking for motivated individuals to join our technical and workshop team. If you’re hands-on, detail-driven, and passionate about building a sustainable future, we want to hear from you!

We are currently hiring for the following positions:

1. Fabrication Assistant x 1

Top 3 Responsibilities:

Support metalwork and fabrication processes by preparing, cutting, and assembling materials.
Operate basic hand tools and machinery under supervision.
Maintain workshop cleanliness and assist senior fabricators as needed.

Qualifications:

Basic technical education or workshop training.
Familiarity with hand tools, grinders, and cutting machines.
Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks.
Not less than 30 years old.

 

Experience Level:

Entry-level; 1 year experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment preferred.

2. Electronic Assistant x 1

Top 3 Responsibilities:

Assist with assembling, wiring, and testing electronic circuits and devices.
Support engineers and technicians with troubleshooting and basic diagnostics.
Keep tools, components, and workstations organized for efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
Basic knowledge of circuit boards, soldering, and electronic test equipment.
Detail-oriented with good dexterity for handling small components
Not less than 30 years old.

Experience Level:

1–2 years in an electronics lab, assembly, or support role preferred.

3. Welder Apprentice x 1

Top 3 Responsibilities:

Learn and assist in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, etc.) under experienced welders.
Prepare materials, tack parts, and handle post-weld cleanup.
Follow strict safety procedures and maintain tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

Technical diploma or workshop experience in welding/fabrication.
Willingness to learn and develop welding skills.
Basic knowledge of PPE and workshop safety.
Should be less than 32 years old.

Experience Level:

Entry-level; apprenticeship role for those aiming to become certified welders.

4. Electronic Electrician x 1

Top 3 Responsibilities:

Install and wire electrical and electronic components in systems and products.
Troubleshoot and repair low-voltage systems, circuits, and devices.
Interpret wiring diagrams and ensure work complies with safety and electrical standards.

Qualifications:

Certification or diploma in electrical installation or electronics.
Knowledge of electrical codes and low-voltage systems.
Experience using tools like multimeters, cable testers, etc.
Should be less than 32 years old.

Experience Level:

2–4 years experience in electrical installation, preferably in renewable energy, automation, or electronics.
