Lecturers – School of Applied Science and Technology

The University is hereby inviting applications from the general public for the under listed positions.

A – SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (06 Positions)

Job Purpose:

The job purpose for each of the lecturing positions below shall be: to design, develop and produce learning and teaching material and to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes to undergraduate and postgraduate students and undertake research activity in the university in accordance with the University’s strategy, policy and procedures.

1. Lecturer in Clinical Nutrition (02 Positions)

 

Requirements

(i) Grade 12 or Form V Certificate or its equivalent
(ii) An earned Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Nutritional Science, Human Nutrition, Dietetics or Public Health Nutrition with at least a Merit from a reputable and accredited University
(iii) An earned Master’s degree in Nutritional Science, Human Nutrition, Dietetics, or Public Health Nutrition from a reputable and accredited University

(iv) A PhD in Nutritional Science, Human Nutrition, Dietetics, or Public Health Nutrition will be an added advantage
(v) At least two (2) years teaching or research experience at tertiary level
(vi) Proof of research and publications will be an added advantage

(vii) Must be computer literate
(viii) Must have full registration and valid practicing licence from the Health Professional Council of Zambia (HPCZ)
(ix) Must be a member of a professional body

2. Lecturer in Food Science and Technology (01 Position)

Requirements (1)

(i) Grade 12 or Form V Certificate or its equivalent
(ii) An earned Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Safety or Food Technology, with at least a Merit from a reputable and accredited University
(iii) An earned Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or Food Safety, from a reputable and accredited University
(iv) A PhD in Food Science, Food Technology or Food Safety will be an added advantage
(v) At least two (2) years teaching or research experience at tertiary level
(vi) Proof of research and publications will be an added advantage (vii) Must be computer literate

(vii) Must be a member of a professional body

3. Lecturer in Hospitality and Tourism Management (02 positions)

 

Requirements

(1) Grade 12 or Form V Certificate or its equivalent
(ii) An earned Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from a reputable and accredited University
(iii) An earned Master’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from a reputable and accredited University
(iv) A PhD in Hospitality and Tourism management will be an added advantage
(v) At least two (2) years teaching or research experience at tertiary level
(vi) Proof of research and publications will be an added advantage (vii) Must be computer literate
(vii) Must be a member of a professional body

4. Lecturer in Clothing and Textile (01 position)

Requirements

(i) Grade 12 or Form V Certificate or its equivalent

(ii) An earned Bachelor’s Degree in Clothing and Textile Science/Fashion Design from a reputable and accredited University (iii) An earned Master’s degree in Clothing and Textile Science/Fashion Design from a reputable and accredited University
(iv) A PhD in Clothing and Textile Science/Fashion Design will be an added advantage.
(v) At least two (2) years teaching or research experience at tertiary level
(vi) Proof of research and publications will be an added advantage (vii) Must be computer literate
(viii) Must be a member of a professional body
