Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Loan Officer to assess and process loan applications, evaluate client financial information, and recommend or approve loans. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, be results-driven, and be ready to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and process loan applications in a timely manner.
Interview applicants to determine eligibility and assess creditworthiness.
Conduct risk analysis and perform background checks.
Recommend or approve loans within delegated authority limits.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all loan transactions.
Follow up on repayments and manage loan recovery where necessary.
Meet individual sales and collection targets.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain client relationships.

Qualifications

Minimum of a Diploma in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in loan processing, credit analysis, or financial services (experience in microfinance is a plus).
Strong knowledge of lending procedures, credit assessment, and financial products.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Must reside in Lusaka, preferably in Kaunda Square, Meanwood Mutumbi, Foxdale, or surrounding areas.
