Job description
1. Introduction
This Request for Proposals (RFP) is issued by Bureau Veritas Zambia, Kitwe Office, for the completion of outstanding works on the new lab project. Interested contractors are invited to submit their proposals for the following work:
2. Scope of Work
2.1 Civil Works
Shuttering and Finishing of Walls and Partitions:
Complete the shuttering and finishing of walls and partitions as per the project specifications.
Openings and Ducting:
Ensure all openings are neatly finished and ducting is properly installed.
Chipped Concrete:
Repair and rectify areas with chipped concrete.
2.2 Aluminum Works
Rigidity, Locking Systems, Finishing, and Alignment:
Address issues with the rigidity, locking systems, finishing, and alignment of aluminum installations.
2.3 Roofing
Supporting Timber Work:
Inspect and rectify gaps in the supporting timber work over the pool office and laboratory.
2.4 Lighting
Lighting Installation:
Complete the installation of lighting as per the project specifications.
3. Proposal Contents:
Cover Letter:
A brief introduction of the company and its relevant experience.
Company Profile:
Detailed information about the company, including certifications, past projects, and team members.
Project Plan:
A detailed project plan outlining the approach, timeline, and resources required to complete the work.
Cost Estimate:
A detailed cost estimate for each category of work, including labor, materials, and any other relevant expenses.
References:
Contact information for at least three previous clients with similar projects.

4. Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Experience and Expertise:
Relevant experience in similar projects.
Project Plan:
Clarity, feasibility, and detailed approach.
Cost:
Competitive pricing and value for money.
References:
Quality and relevance of previous work.
5. Deadline
The deadline for submission of proposals is 18th July, 2025.
