Website Insurance Broking Company

A reputable Insurance Broking company is looking for a qualified Accountant with experience in the Insurance Industry (preferably an Insurance Broking Company). The Accountant will Report to the Chief Executive Officer. He/She will have the following duties:

MAJOR DUTIES

Prompt Premium remittance to Insurance companies
Payroll management
Prepare and submit quarterly and annual PIA Returns
Prepare, submit &make payments of all statutory returns such as NAPSA, NHIMA, PAYE etc. 
Prepare corporation tax computation, both provisional and final and make payments
Prepare and submit monthly Insurance Premium Levy on the ZRA portal
General Ledger Management
Insurer and clients Reconciliations
Perform monthly or quarterly bank reconciliations
Prepare periodic cash flows and monitor accounts payables and receivables
Conduct periodic Fixed Assets verification
Coordinating weekly credit control meetings
Maintenance and review of all company cash books
Any other duties that may be assigned to you

Qualifications:

A Degree in Accountancy and/or ACCA, CIMA, ZICA qualification
Member of ZICA
An MBA,MA, MSc will be an added advantage
The applicant should have at least 6 years’ experience, 3 of which must be at middle management level in an Insurance company or Insurance Broking Company
Knowledge of Pastel Accounting software is a must
Knowledge of any other accounting software is advantageous
