About the role:

Our Client is looking for a talented individual to join their team as a Station Manager. The role of Station Manager is responsible for the achievement of station objectives, the implementation of Company policies and procedures, staffing, merchandising, and maintaining high standards of customer service and safety. The role of Station Manager will manage day to day operations, ordering, scheduling, training, supervising employees, merchandizing, profits, all controllable expenses, labor, inventory, cash, and shortages. The role must determine stock needs, interact positively with vendors and customers, monitor receiving goods, maintain inventory and minimize waste and pilferage.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure smooth operation/running of the retail station to increase fuel sales and reduce operational cost.
Use market research to capitalize on consumer trends, to determine expected sales volume for new products and to set competitive prices
Make decisions on all products sold and services offered with the goal of maximizing station revenue
Implementing and managing the station’s credit policy
Ensure that security protocols, such as maintaining small amounts of cash on premises, are followed at all times.
Create employee schedules, ensure all shifts are covered and adjust these schedules to accommodate employees when possible.
Create and manage customer loyalty and rewards programs.
Responsible for managing the station as a profit centre.
Responsible for marketing petroleum products at the station.
Responsible for sending sales reports daily.
Champion effective customer service and relationship management.
Managing minimum and maximum stock level and maintaining effective storage systems whilst liaising with logistics officers.
Responsible for ensuring periodic maintenance schedules are carried out at the earliest time.
Responsible for interfacing and liaising with various vendors to effect repairs, replacement and functionality of all equipment
Responsible for training and retraining of personnel in the Station.

 Minimum Qualifications/ Traits:

Minimum of a University Degree
Minimum of 8 years of cognate experience in a similar role as a Station manager.
Experience in East Africa is preferred.

The incumbent will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
