About the Role:
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Manager / Director to lead their financial operations. As a Financial Manager / Director, you will be instrumental in driving financial strategy, ensuring compliance and providing strategic guidance to senior management. If you are ready to make a significant impact and take your career to new heights, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
Financial Planning: Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
Budgeting and Forecasting: maintain and monitor annual budgets and forecasts, providing regular updates to senior management.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
Strategic Insights: Analyse financial data and provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
Team Leadership and Development: Leading and managing the finance and accounting team. Setting targets and performance goals for finance personnel. Providing guidance and support to team members
Cost Management: Analyze expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend strategies to improve profitability.
Risk Management: Manage risk by conducting daily and/or regular reconciliations, putting financial systems in place, and ensuring the company’s financial stability.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with overall business objectives and drive growth.
Financial Record Management: Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial records, transactions and documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
ZICA or other relevant professional certification.
Minimum 4 years experience in Audit as an audit manager.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial management, with expertise in forecasting, analysis and reporting.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial markets, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
Proven track record of success in financial management and strategic planning.
Experience in risk management and financial instruments.
Advanced proficiency in financial software, Sage experience would be advantageous, as well as advanced proficiency in Excel.
