Bonded Warehouse Manager

Position: BONDED WAREHOUSE MANAGER ( X1)

Location: Ndola

Job prupose

Management of Demand Planning, Inventory Management & related Supply Chain Process flow/processes between plants, ensuring all processes within the whole value chain are optimized to achieve the sales/business objectives, in most the efficient and effective manner through utilizing the available resources.

1.  Availability & Stock Management (KPIs – Inventory Turns and Structure)

Responsible for stocks (Units and Value ) management operations by having the correct stocks level and to steer safety stock at HUACHEN  including articles with high FC error and related phase in and phase out
Management of month end and year end inventory target is achieved by pro-actively monitoring including ensuring the correct inventory structure
Responsible for PSI to analysis/steer overstock, shortages & availability for Budget and FC volume

2. Replenishment-(KPIs – Delivery Performance)

Support market strategy regarding customer service level, responsible to ensure the correct stocks are replenished in a timely manner. Responsible to analysis and escalate to Market Planner on critical shortage articles with insufficient confirmation from plant for auto replenishment
Responsible to decide and steer manual replenishment orders  & review replenishments  as per safety/ target stock together with Markets incl. maintaining safety stock and article extension in the related systems

3. Warehouse capacity (KPIs – Overflow charges, overtime charges)

Responsible to prepare the yearly budget and 5 years volume plan.
Responsible to Monitor WH capacity utilization (space, in/outbound capacity) and take actions to eliminate bottleneck(s)
Ensure all In bound & Out bound time slot are properly co-ordinated to minimize overtime charges
Responsible to develop contingency plans to meet unexpected increase in space requirements with SPs and Market Distribution MY in agreement with Controlling/Purchasing on the expected additional cost for the expected duration

4.  Service Providers (SP) Management

To work with Market Distribution on Service Providers/SPs execution as per contract terms and conditions
Execute/implement KPIs for SPs, organize monthly KPI and operation review meeting with SPs
Ensure periodic audits on SPs and all stocks “”lost & found”” are timely resolved incl. DNs are raised to SPs
To work with Market Distribution on relationship model for contract logistics, knowledge retention with logistics partners for sustainable processes and quality management

5. W&D Cost Management (KPIs – OVC freight and handling index)

Prepare Annual BW Budget forecast for PE, Handling and Freight and Full Year consolidation
Responsible for Quarterly FC (vs. Budget) for consolidate forecast volume, handling, PE and Freight cost
Freight and handling cost analysis for Turntable

6. Customer Deliveries (KPIs – Customer Service Level)

Manage and ensure the correct stock are delivered to the RDC and DS customers as per required customer service level

7.  Sales tax, Import duty and export/import requirements

Responsible for BW on Import Duty & Sales Tax exemption management and documentations (Bank Guarantee via Finance Dept)
Work closely with APAC markets on border regulations, INCOTERM, customs procedures and international trading requirements (with MDM MY)

Requirements

– Demand & Inventory Planning and Analysis
– Managing 3PL (3rd. Party Logistics Provider)
– Logistics, Warehousing and Distribution
– Continuous update on new Custom Regulation and procedure ( Import / Export )
– Management Skills
– MS Excel Skills (Pivot table, Advance Spreadsheet functionality and formulas)
– Diploma/Degree in Business Mgt, Supply Chain, Logistic & Warehousing
– Min 3-5 years managerial working experience in Supply Chain, Stock Mgt, Logistics & Warehousing
– Managing subordinates from various capacity i.e Executives, Supervisory etc. for min 3 years.
